  1. You should take pride in everything you do no matter what. The men in the movie where told to fight for America, an America that still recognized them as Slaves. At the end of there journey the Men gained the respect of there Leading commandeers.Glory expresses the ideas of the north Union and how they were willing to place blacks into combat in order to ensure victory.

  2. According to my opinion most Civil war movies are factual, historical, and boring. Glory is the best Civil war movie I've ever seen. It really captures the feel of the Civil war through the battle scenes. Most importantly it acknowledges the heroes involved that have been ignored by history due to racism.

  3. Good comments so far! If you want to post, but don't know what to say, try describing your favorite scene from the movie and why you thought it was so good.

One scene I thought was well done was when the 54th was stuck doing manual labor in the forest and Denzel's character got into it with some of the passing white troops. The scene really showed the racism the 54th had to put up with and I like how that scene set up the scene later in the movie when the 54th is marching onto the beach through the tunnel of Union troops. Now they're the ones heading into the battle and they finally get the respect they deserve from the white troops who cheer them as they pass on their way to battle.

  4. In the movie Glory the scene that I thought was well done was the scene involving Denzel Washington's beating. This scene stuck with me hard. It was really hard to watch just imagining the fact that the African Americans were beaten like that for trying to find something they really need. I believe this scene captured a major part of the Civil war and Slavery. Denzel on the other hand was amazing. He really got into this part of the movie. So far Glory has been one of the best WAR movies I have seen so far.
